antiperfectionist indie folk

about

Indie-folk songwriter LLouise's music is like cinematic slow-motion, an inner world the listener can step directly into. Under the surface, her confessional songs about sensitivity, being lost and the aches of growing up are filled with soft power. Shaped by influences like Haley Heynderickx, Flyte and Madison Cunningham, her "water-like voice" flows over deft and intricate guitar arrangements. After playing all over the Netherlands with the Pop College Tour in spring of 2024, the Berlin-born artist has come back to basics in the form of her second EP thin skin, which she celebrated with a packed release show in Moira, Utrecht. Recorded live on cassette as an ode to anti-perfectionism and the folk culture of the 70s, thin skin is a deep, sweet and handcrafted follow-up to her 2023 debut White Linen; a turbulent, rough-around-the-edges yet sensitive record.
